This is the second online Mini Series I have done, and I have found both so convenient and flexible as they allow me to work around my small children.
I enjoyed it and enjoyed being able to do at my own pace. It’s much easier to do the webinars when I have quiet time at home or in practice.
Causes and consequences of obesity and why this matters
Understanding human behaviour
Practical treatment of obesity
Eleanor is a European and RCVS Specialist in small animal internal medicine. Having spent time in first opinion practice and specialist training at the vet schools in Liverpool and Cambridge, Eleanor now divides her time between clinical practice and research. She runs an obesity referral service at the Queen’s Veterinary School Hospital at the University of Cambridge and a telemedicine referral service for Vet Specialists Online. Eleanor runs the GOdogs project, investigating the genetics of obesity in dogs, focussing on genetics influence individual dogs’ predisposition to obesity. Eleanor’s research informs her clinical practice and she provides a practical, problem-solving and compassionate (to dogs and owners) approach to weight management.
The content of the Mini Series will help me very much in my work in practice. It will give me confidence to approach cases in a logical way and reach a working diagnosis and treatment plan, whilst recognising where specialist advice and referral is appropriate.
