Kate enjoyed working in mixed practice before pursuing an internship and residency in anaesthesia at the University of Cambridge in 2017. She became a European and RCVS recognised Specialist in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia in 2022 and has worked in private small animal and equine referral anaesthesia departments in the UK. She is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and in 2024 moved to Massey University (MU) in New Zealand to return to an educational role. She works with a wide variety of species and clinical cases in the MU Veterinary Teaching Hospital and is particularly dedicated to developing the next generation of vets during their final year anaesthesia rotations. She also supervises interns and residents during their ECVAA and ACVAA anaesthesia residency programs at the university and is actively engaged in clinical research.
