Steve graduated from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies in 1996. In 2002, after spending 6 years in general practice he gained the RCVS Certificate in Small Animal Surgery and secured a residency in small animal surgery at Glasgow Veterinary School. Steve has been both an ECVS Diplomat in Small Animal Surgery and a RCVS Diplomat in in Small Animal Orthopaedics since 2006, and has been an RCVS Recognised Specialist in Small Animal Orthopaedics since 2007. In 2010 after 5 years in private orthopaedic referral practice in Fife, Steve joined the orthopaedic team at Willows Referral Service in the West Midlands. Steve is a past examiner for the RCVS diploma in Orthopaedics and is an AO Vet faculty member. Steve’s particular interests are in orthopaedic complication management, arthrodesis and management of humeral intra-condylar fissure.
The content of the Mini Series will help me very much in my work in practice. It will give me confidence to approach cases in a logical way and reach a working diagnosis and treatment plan, whilst recognising where specialist advice and referral is appropriate.
